Multiple Tooth Replacement

SEVERAL TEETH MISSING
Benefits with fixed bridge on implants:

When replacing missing teeth in the back of the mouth, if there are no natural teeth remaining, a fixed bridge anchored to dental implants is the only non-removable alternative. Traditional dentures can't offer the same stability or function.

Replacing lost back teeth with an implant supported fixed bridge will give you strength and stability that lets you to eat what you want. It will also preserve your jawbone and prevent your cheeks from falling in and making you look older.

  • The only fixed alternative in this situation.
  • A stable, secure solution that lets you eat what you want
  • Preserves your facial appearance and prevents bone loss

Treatment:
After the initial examination, you can expect 4-5 additional visits until the final fixed bridge is permanently attached.

COURSE OF TREATMENT
Installing the fixed bridge step-by-step:
The course of treatment described here is one of several options available. Consult your dentist to find out what the best solution is for you, given your specific condition.

1: Before the procedure
Three back teeth are missing. The best replacement alternative is a fixed bridge. The bridge contains all teeth in one piece and is anchored on dental implants.
2: Installing the implants
This is normally done in one visit.  The implants will take a few months to fuse with the bone.

3: Attaching the bridge
After the implants are fused with the bone, impressions of your mouth are made so a ceramic artist can create your bridge.  One visit later the fit and appearance of your bridge are confirmed.  If everything looks and fits right, you leave with your bridge.
4: End result
The new bridge will handle all the pressure that your natural back teeth did. You will have a stable and secure solution that maintains your appearance and allows you to eat what you want.

ALTERNATIVES TO FIXED BRIDGE

  Removable partial denture
This alternative is somewhat bulky and should be removed when you sleep. It is less comfortable  than a fixed bridge. This denture is made of plastic and metal or all plastic. Making a removable partial denture requires several visits and relies on support from your remaining natural teeth.
